“Hello!

I know finding a therapist can be a difficult process. Hopefully the information on my homepage/below has been helpful for you in starting to decide whether or not I might be the right fit for your needs. If you have any further questions, please contact me. In addition, I can provide a free brief phone consultation as this can give us both further opportunity to decide if we are the right fit for each other.

I look forward to hearing from you.”

About Me & Heart-Full Minds Counseling LLC

I graduated with my Master of Arts in Counseling degree in 2013. Prior to and since then, I have been involved in a variety of mental health settings. These experiences have taken place in both urban and rural locations throughout Texas and Wisconsin. In these different community and clinical environments, I had the opportunity to work with many unique and incredible individuals. Helping and supporting other people has always been a passion of mine.

Currently, I primarily work with adults, but have experience in working with children/adolescents and am open to communicating about your specific needs. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing stress/overwhelm, anxiety (including social anxiety), OCD and many other related concerns.

Please see my homepage for more information.

I also enjoy supporting people through individual counseling in learning healthier communication strategies and how to set or maintain boundaries involving their relationships (all kinds). I often work with people in learning how to view their relationship struggles systemically (see the pattern of interactions between themselves and others) vs focus on fault or blame which is also supportive towards any other counseling my Clients may already be involved in or plan to be.

Another focus of mine is being able to support and bring more awareness to perinatal or postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs)) and hormone-related mental health concerns (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and Premenstrual Exacerbation (PME)).

I am a trauma-informed therapist (trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)) and can incorporate this type of therapy into treatment when needed. I often use CBT while integrating strategies and tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also have training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), CBT for Social Anxiety and training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, as well as Gottman Method Couples Therapy ((Level 2 and Trauma & Affairs) which is a research-based approach to relationships).

As of the start of this year (2024), I have also begun offering Clients the opportunity to learn about and participate in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). You can click here for more information about I-CBT - Inference-based Cognitive-Behavorial Therapy – The Official site of the New Treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Related Conditions (icbt.online)

My pronouns are she/her/hers. Inclusiveness and cultural competency involving all marginalized communities are strongly held values of mine. I am both personally and professionally committed to continuing to seek development and education in providing the most appropriate care possible. If you have any questions or feedback involving my services, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Everyone is welcome here!
